Inmate Experience ticket
Did you know it costs around $1500 a day to keep a young person in Australian youth detention? In stark contrast, it only costs $3600 a year to provide a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters.
To support this cause, we are locking up our supporters in Old Adelaide Gaol. This ticket gives you the inmate experience, along with our fundraising inmates.
Experience Jail Life
Upon arrival, Inmates will be stripped of my possessions, given a prison uniform, fingerprinted, photographed, and fed prison gruel in the exercise yard.
This unique experience will help bring attention to the urgent need for mentorship programs, highlighting the stark contrast between the high costs of detention and the relatively low costs of preventive mentoring.
