About
Did you know it costs around $1500 a day to keep a young person in Australian youth detention? In stark contrast, it only costs $3600 a year to provide a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters.

To support this cause, We're getting locked up, and we need your help to raise my bail! All funds will go towards helping young people find life-changing connections and build a brighter future.

Here's How It Works:
Experience Jail Life
Upon arrival, Inmates will be stripped of their possessions, given a prison uniform, fingerprinted, photographed, and fed prison gruel in the exercise yard.
Mock Interrogation and Court:
Inmates will face an interrogation and court proceedings before being sentenced to cell time with my gang or in solitary confinement!

Fundraising Goals:
Supermax Inmate: Raise $5000 for release
Cellblock Inmate: Raise $1000 for release

This unique experience will help bring attention to the urgent need for mentorship programs, highlighting the stark contrast between the high costs of detention and the relatively low costs of preventive mentoring.

Event Details:
Date: 30 May 2025
Location: Pentridge Prison, 1 Champ St, Coburg VIC

Help me make a difference in the lives of young people by donating to my bail fund. Together, we can support Big Brothers Big Sisters and help more young people find the guidance they need.

Donate now and help the Inmates from Pentridge Prison!

My Story
My first job in Youth Work was working with young women in a major Youth Training Centre in Melbourne's east, where I worked with over 2000 young women, mostly from highly dysfunctional families. From there I worked as Deputy Manager of an Emergency Youth Hostel, and later with new and emerging communities and youth in particular, with no parents in Australia. Many young often vulnerable people come from a background of family violence, and horrific abuse. For that reason alone, having strong dependable and caring adult mentors is absolutely VITAL to their future. My own organisation referred a number of young people to Big Brother Big Sister, and they REALLY helped turn these young people's lives around. Please help me raise money for this great cause!
